Greetings from beautiful Haiti!! After a very interesting trip down (an 8-hour drive to Denver turned to 12 and waiting on my checked bag for a week), I am now back in Haiti at YWAM Les Cayes! It has taken a little while to adjust after being gone for seven months, but I am getting back into the swing of life here. We are excited to have two new volunteers, so we’re growing!! I am stepping in as Maintenance Director (with my own storage and tool room), teaching the Boys Bible Study as well as helping with other various parts of the ministry. While I was in the states, Oldine (my translator and another staff here), had been taking my boys through a kid’s Bible story book. They were at the story Joseph, which I taught on fifteen months ago, and my boys remembered a lot, which was very encouraging to me! I am excited to get back to teaching and working!
Every Wednesday night, we have a community worship night here at the YWAM base. This last week, we had three people accept Christ as their personal Savior and one of them was a boy from my Bible study! It was so great to be there and watch him take that step of faith!
Prayer Requests ~Please continue to pray for me as I adjust to being back. ~Please pray that what I am teaching would impact the boys listening. ~Lastly, that I would be able to do all that I am doing down here to please the Lord, whether that be fixing something, building, or teaching.
